Lego Fun

Who doesn't love Legos?
Kids around the world have played with Legos for years and years.

Here are some fun ways to use Legos with your students!

Richard Byrne recently blogged about a great Lego City Comic Builder here.

Here is a free Lego picture app.
It takes any picture and turns it into a lego type picture.
You just point the camera, snap a pic, press the button,
and watch the masterpiece build!
How fun is that?

The Mini-Mizer allows you to make an Lego type avatar of yourself.
There are tons of options, accessories, and backgrounds.
The Lego avatar would be great for using with story writing
or when working on story characters.

The Lego Education site offers two FREE Lego magazines.
Currently the following magazines are being offered:
LEGO Club In-School Edition Magazine and corresponding teacher's guide were developed for use in second and third grade classrooms and focus on the theme Ancient Egypt.

LEGO Club Jr. In-School Edition Magazine and corresponding teacher's guide were developed for use in first grade classrooms and focus on the theme Space Exploration.

The Lego website has some fun games for kids.
Creative games can be found here and
Pre-school games can be found here.

And just for fun here's a great Lego Star-Wars movie:
